Best-selling novelist Sarah Dunant shows how her Renaissance trilogy (The Birth of Venus, In the Company of the Courtesan, and Sacred Hearts) was given life by the art of Italy. She will describe how her discoveries have enabled her to write a different kind of historical novel: one that mixes politics, religion and culture along with the senses, and the appetites of both body and soul.
