Summer Season 2013
Cambridge Wordfest is proud to announce the launch of its summer season 2013. Due to withdrawal symptoms following the end of another successful spring festival, we’ve decided to extend the literary joy through late spring and into the summer. We’re looking forward to welcoming these great writers to Cambridge: historian Anna Whitelock discusses her vivid new look at the intimate life of Queen Elizabeth I; travel writer Paul Theroux takes us on a stirring journey into the heart of southwest Africa; Lord Sainsbury, Chancellor of the University of Cambridge, launches his new book and calls for a more Progressive Capitalism; and Rowan Williams, former Archbishop of Canterbury and now Master of Magdalene College, examines the importance of faith for us as individuals, and in the public forum. Booking is now open for all of these events, for full details click here.
