The Cambridgeshire Children's Picturebook Award. Special event for children and parents and children's book groups to look at the shortlisted titles and vote for their favourite title.

Tuesday 18 April - Chris Tutton

Chris Tutton is a charismatic performer. His work varies from soft lyrical poems to short, sharp funny pieces. He has worked widely on Televison and Radio, including Loose Ends on Radio 4 with Ned Sherrin and as resident poet on Carlton Television and many Literature Festivals. Described as having 'ravishing linguistic dexterity with a keen intellect' this will be an evening of pure pleasure.

East Anglian writer Tessa West will be talking about her two novels The Estuary and The Reed Flute , about her work-inprogress and the writing process. She will also speak about her positive experience of selfpublishing.

Thursday 20 April - Once Upon a . . . Adrian Mitchell

Adrian Mitchell launches 'Once Upon a Time . . .' write a fairy tale competition. Poet, dramatist and storyteller Adrian Mitchell in performance and launching an exciting competition for age groups 14-17 years and 18+ to write a new fairytale or finish an ancient Egyptian tale. Be the first to get further details of the competition and meet Britain 's Shadow Laureate. This is a partnership project between The Fitzwilliam Museum and County Literature Development.
